Saint Vincent de Paul is a LISTOS California Partner providing Disaster Preparedness services in Sacramento, Amador, Placer and El Dorado Counties.
Listos California is a California Office of Emergency Services program that supports community-based organizations and federally recognized tribes throughout California to ensure every Californian, regardless of age, ability, income or language, has access to culturally competent outreach to prepare for natural and man made disasters. Since 2019, Listos California has reached millions of Californians with low incomes, disabilities and language barriers as well as older adults and those living in areas at high risk of disaster to help them prepare for, respond to and recover from all types of emergencies.
Saint Vincent de Paul began working in disaster recovery in 2018 and has been active post disaster across 8 counties and 5 natural disasters in Northern California. Having helped hundreds of wildfire and storm survivors reach their disaster recovery goals has given our organization insight to the after effects of disasters and how proper preparation can help communities be more resilient when faced with the growing prevalence of natural and manmade disasters.
